  1. The Search Bar - allows you search through the gallery catalog.
  2. Two Icons
    • Magnifying Lens - clicking conducts your typed search
    • Wrench - clicking allows you to add your own content from your desktop and computer
  3. List of Individual Collections
  4. Results Box - Any item chosen in box 3 or searched successfully in box 1 appears here.

We're going to look at sections 3 & 4 in more detail. The search bar and accompanying Icons are pretty self-explanatory
In section 3 you have a minimum of six choices by default. They are:
  1. My Content - any page or graphic that you create will appear here. You can organize it how you wish.
  2. Gallery Essentials - is a collection Smart created content that is specific to what you teach. Other subjects can be added by the Techco.
  3. Lesson Activity Toolkit 2.0 - a collection of completed pages that can be used in tandem with pages you create or on their own
  4. Gallery Sampler - a collection of the most used gallery items organized for easy access
  5. Online Resources - collection of links from Smart sponsored websites
  6. Smart Learning Marketplace - access to the Smart Learning Marketplace where you can download more Smart sponsored content. You have to join and be a member.

Using the Gallery Tab

Accessing any of the collections is just like using any Windows based file tree. Click on the pluses or click on the individual folders to open up the folders. Clicking on the downward facing black triangle opens another menu that gives you options of creating New Folders, Cut, Paste, Rename, Delete or Add to My Content.

Whichever folder you open will open more in depth in the window (4) below. There you will see menu headings. Clicking on the triangle will open up the collection. The number next to the menu item tells you how many of each item is under the heading.

To add an object to your desktop, click and drag it onto the work area. Clicking on an object highlights it in blue. Clicking the downward facing triangle gives you the above menu options.

From now on anything found in the catalog will be called an Object. Objects will be covered in greater detail in the coming Objects section.
